Skateboard Club Vienna isn’t your average skatepark — it’sa community hub, a place for learning, connection, and movement.
We were brought in to deliver a complete acoustic and sound system upgrade — in our understanding, a first for a skate hall of this kind.
Skateboarding is noisy — and that’s part of the fun. But it can also get in the way of coaching, conversations, and community-building.
That’s why we focused on improving speech intelligibility and smartaudio zoning, ensuring the space works for multiple uses without compromise.
Acoustics:
· 64 m² of Siléncio treatment
· 336 × black ceiling panels
Sound System:
· 14 × LD Systems STINGER 15 G3
· 4 × LD Systems STINGER 10 G3
· Powered by 1x Audac EPA 254 & 1x RAMAudio MDi8-6K BS/P
· 1x Xilica Solaro QR1 for audio management
The space was officially opened towards the end of 2024 with Vienna’s Vice Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr in attendance — a moment that underlined the project’s value to the city.
It showed that clear communication and good sound aren’t just for concerts — they’re just as important for community spaces, youth centers, and any place where people come together.
At its core, this project reflects our belief:
Better sound and acoustics should be for everyone.
Whether it’s a skate club, a studio, or a school — when spaces sound better, they work better.
